Founder’s Profile

With over 25 years of vast experience in the industry, Francis Wanyiri is the founder of Topaz Petroleum and is also the Managing Director. Previously, he worked with Chevron - Caltex Oil (Kenya) Limited as the East Africa Trader, in charge of exports to the wider Eastern Africa region. He was responsible for the development of the export market and networked widely in the region, seeing the company export market share rise to a record breaking level of 40% for Petroleum exports out of Kenya. He was charged with nurturing the export reseller accounts, who are all now fully fledged oil marketers and key players in the industry. He dealt with all major importers from the Eastern Africa countries with whom he still has great rapport. He participated in development of industry streamlining processes for the export market.
He also worked with Triton as Head of Africa sales where he developed a regional reach by establishing affiliate offices in UAE, Uganda, Tanzania, Rwanda and South Sudan. He established working partnerships in Malawi, Comoros, Mozambique, Zimbabwe, DR Congo, Burundi, Sudan, South Africa and Nigeria among others. He is a graduate of Kenyatta University (BSC) and University of Nairobi (MBA –International Business)’

He possess Undergraduate degree in business administration and marketing, Graduate MBA from Daystar University (ongoing) in strategic management. He Started out in the flower industry in 2004 being a member of the flower auction in Alsmeer Holland up to 2008. He later Joined the petroleum industry in 2009 majoring in fuel exports to South Sudan, Uganda and the Democratic Republic of Congo and pioneering the import of fuel from Djibouti through Ethiopia into Palouch in South Sudan in 2012. George Kagotho Gachuiri is also a security consultant with HGl,UK group,The resource capital group UK,wellspring resources Inc,and zamken capital group

He is the Chief Marketing Officer and a well-disciplined professional who is in charge of managing all aspects related to implementation of any given campaign he is responsible for strategizing and analyzing and leading the sales and marketing team while making sure everything runs smoothly from start to finish with clients or colleagues.
